MacquarieCon 2005 Information
The 21st MacquarieCon will run over the second weekend in December, from the 9th to the 11th. Registration will be on the 8th of December, from 6pm. MacquarieCon will be organised into ten four-hour games sessions.
You can attend any number of sessions, depending on your availability and pick any game you want. Anyone who likes role-playing is invited to attend.
Session times and costs
Session cost: $5 per session, to a maximum of $30. Pay for 6 sessions and receive the last 4 free!
Discount rates: $4 per session, to a maximum of $24. Available to GMs and MURPS member (don't forget to note this on your entry form!)

Rules of MacquarieCon
To ensure both you and your fellow gamers get the most enjoyment out of MacquarieCon, our only ask is that you follow the simple rules outlined below.
- You can smoke on campus but not inside the buildings
- No weapons, real or otherwise
- No alcohol to be brought onto the campus
- No littering
- Recycle
- Have fun
- Make new friends
- You WILL stay for prizegiving
- Anything said at the pub after the convention is meaningless and should not be taken as the truth in any way, shape or form
Travel to MacquarieCon
Macquarie University, the venue for MacquarieCon 2005, is located in the suburb of North Ryde in the northern suburbs of Sydney. The University is easily accessible by a variety of transport methods. These are:
Travel By Car
Macquarie University has a large car parking area, which you can utilise if you wish to drive to MacquarieCon. As it will be University holidays at the time at which MacquarieCon is held, it will not be difficult to get a parking spot. Please be aware, however, that the fee for parking will be $8 a day.
If you do plan to drive, it would be best to enter at the Balaclava Road entrance, located at the intersection of Balaclava Road and Epping Road, and park in bay W4 or X3. The map provided also shows areas in yellow that are free parking zones around the Uni, they will require a bit of a walk from the car to the Con, but no longer than 5 - 10 mins dependant on walking speed.
Travel By Bus
Buses from the City to Macquarie University depart frequently on both weekdays and weekends. Buses leave from the Queen Victoria Building at Stand C. You will need to catch a 288, 289, 290 or 292. The 545 line, Parramatta to Chatswood, leaves every fifteen to twenty minutes form their respective bus stands passing through Macquarie regularly.
It may also be possible to catch a bus directly from your place of residence to Macquarie University. As Macquarie University is serviced by too many bus routes to list here, we ask that you contact either State Transit or your local bus company to find out if they run a bus that goes directly to Macquarie Uni.
Travel By Train
To reach Macquarie University by train you will have to catch a train to Epping. City Rail suburban trains on the Northern Line (North Sydney to Brewora via Strathfield) for Epping depart from Platform 18 at Central Station. Some Intercity Services on the Newcastle Line also stop at Epping station. Intercity trains depart from Platforms (1-15) on the upper level of Central Station.Timetables can be found on the City Rail website.
Once you reach Epping you will need to catch a bus. You will need to catch either a 288, 290, 295 or 296. Buses leave every few minutes from the eastern side of Epping Station. Maps and timetables can be found on the State Transit Website.
